Hello and welcome to MMOZ. Today we talking about a new product on the market called SiteBoostr. This is a service provided by Tony Herman and claims to be able to give your site a boost in the search rankings.
We all know that getting to the top of Google and other major search engines is the key to success. The top three search positions for any keyword always get the most clicks. But can backlinks alone help you to climb to the top of the search results? Or is there more to it?
What Is SiteBoostr And How Does It Work?
Siteboostr is a backlinking service that creates links from high authority domain redirects.
The creator of this package says that the links are completely safe. But personally, I’ve been burnt by deals like this in the past. I’ve seen both good and bad services and it’s almost impossible to tell the difference until it’s too late!
The SiteBoostr website offers deals ranging from $99 to $699.
The Big Backlink Debate
You have no doubt arrived at this article, wondering if Siteboostr would be the right choice for you and your website. But in order to make that decision, you first of all should understand what backlinks are and why some people say they are a bad idea, whilst others disagree.
If you are new to internet marketing or you are just starting out online, then you may be a little confused when it comes to backlinks. A backlinks is basically a link that connects one website to another. But there is a lot of outdated information when it comes to this subject. So in order for you to understand how Siteboostr may or may not benefit you, you first need to understand the shady past of backlinking.
Backlinking – Do People Still Do This?
Back in the early 2000’s ranking web-pages was so much easier than it is now. But it was only easy if you knew the secret to fast rankings. And that secret was in creating lots of backlinks.
Backlinking used to be a major subject of conversation between internet marketers in years gone by.
You could buy or create “backlinks” manually. It didn’t matter where the link came from, so long as it pointed towards your website. These websites would link to your money making pages to give you a boost in the search engines. And it really was as simple as that!
People would create poorly written content, full of affiliate links and “spammy” content. Next, they would literally build hundreds, even thousands of backlinks in order to rank well. And that’s all that was needed back then to rise to the top of the search results.
This was usually done by affiliate marketers and many made a lot of money doing so.
Google Got Wise To The Crafty Tricks!
But then things changed… Google updated their algorithm and overnight, thousands of websites that had used this crafty trick were suddenly wiped from the internet. Zero rankings and zero traffic!
Things Are Different Now!
Since that famous Google update back in 2011, things have changed. Blasting a page with hundreds of low quality backlinks will no longer do you any good. In fact it will most likely hurt you.
But one thing that Google still considers a ranking factor is authority websites linking to other authority websites. A backlink is like a vote of confidence from an authority site and signals to Google that the site being pointed to is also an authority website.
Google takes many things into consideration when placing you in the search results. Whilst an authority backlink will take you so far, it might not do you a lot of good if your content isn’t of good quality or if your content simply doesn’t convert to sales.
$99 will get you just one single authority backlink. Now this may well be a good experiment and you may well get good results with this. But if you are just starting out, this could well be an expensive way to learn that backlinks aren’t everything!
Will SiteBoostr Work For You?
In comparison to many online backlinking services the guys at SiteBoostr are certainly offering competitive pricing. But there are many things to consider before buying backlinks.
Firstly, Google hates websites that try to manipulate the search results. And whilst this method might be safe now, it might not be safe in months to come.
When Google changed its algorithm in 2011, many people didn’t see it coming. Backlinking is trying to manipulate results, no matter how you look at it. And no matter how many times people tell you that this is safe, there’s still that bit of doubt. But the risk is all yours!
It would be great to be able to purchase a few backlinks and then shoot to the top of the search engines. That would be like writing your own paycheck. But in this game there are no guarantees!
SiteBoostr can’t possibly tell you that you will definitely achieve top rankings, nor do they try to claim this. Instead, SiteBoostr gives you a load of extras with their links that teach Search Engine Optimisation. This may help you to increase your rankings further when combined with the authority links. But again, no guarantees on this!
SiteBoostr Review – My Opinion
I have worked online for quite a few years and I was one of those people who experimented with building backlinks back in the early days! In my opinion, it was a risky business back then and it’s still risky to most people now. Here’s why…
Google arn’t stupid! The top search engines are becoming more intelligent by the day. If you think you can easily achieve no.1 rankings for highly competitive keywords, think again. Google changes it’s algorithm all the time and there is no way that you can manipulate them for long.
Getting authority links may well give your site the boost that it needs, but then it might not. Even if you get a bit of a boost in the rankings today, it might be a different story tomorrow!
SiteBoostr Review – Old School Method
To me this is an old school method of ranking websites that I’m not really a fan of. That is just my personal opinion and I welcome your opinion in the comments area at the bottom of this page.
Should you buy backlinks from SiteBoostr? If you are new to ranking websites in the search engines, then I would stay well away.
If you are considering this without any previous experience, or because you think it would be an easy way to make money online, I would also stay well away from this!
Or perhaps you are more experienced? Then I would advise to take things very slowly. If you really want to try building backlinks, then I would say that less is more, especially in the beginning.
Personally, I prefer not to create backlinks in this way! There is an alternative…
So Whats The Alternative?
