The Blank ATM Card Scam – What The Hackers Say
Blank ATM Cards are now being advertised all over the internet. The people behind these ads claim that for a small fee you can get your hands on a hacked ATM card. Most of the adverts state that you can use these cards all over the world and withdraw thousands of dollars every day.
Most of the ads also go on to tell you that they are specially designed so that you won’t get caught too. The majority of ads that we have seen have been on social media sites like Facebook. But recently the people behind these ads have started to spam websites with comments too. You might see a website comment that claims to be from someone who has found wealth via one of these hacked cards, or it might be a simple advert. One thing that all of these ads have in common is the fact that they want your money.
Lets take a look at just a few of the examples that we found on the net. The following images are taken from both social media and website comments.
Whats REALLY going on here? Are Blank ATM Cards Real?
You can see from the above adverts that we found these blank ATM cards are being sold for anywhere from around $150 to over $5000! We are even shown so called “evidence” that these cards really work on YouTube.
So are blank ATM cards real? Can you really pay a hacker to send you one of these cards through the post? Well no, you cant. This is a very simple scam aimed at people that are desperate for money. The truth is, these guys will simply take as much money as possible from you and in return you get nothing. The people behind these scams aim to collect and sell your information too. Believe it or not, these scam artists can make a very good income from selling fake ATM cards and selling your information onto the highest bidder.
We decided to try and contact some of the sellers of these cards to see what they had to say. It didn’t take long before we got a reply. In fact it took just over 30 minutes to get our first reply… Take a look at our conversation.
MMOZ contacts the scammers behind the blank ATM card scams
We were first contacted by “Fecok Mark Loan Firm”. More replies followed, but the conversation with this guy was exactly what we expected. If you have seen an advert for one of these scams I would recommend that you read the conversation here. Would you really want to send your money and information to someone like this? Enjoy…
We string the scammers along a bit more…
I thought the name “Joe King” might have been a step too far, but it wasn’t. Although I had quite clearly sent fake information, the conversation continued. By the way, the telephone number that I gave was for the Better Business Bureau’s fraud team. Also, for those of you that haven’t seen the TV series “Game Of Thrones”, that’s where the Iron Islands came from.
The Blank ATM Card scam continues…
Since I gave a fake location, I wondered if the supplier of my Blank ATM card could tell me how long it would take to arrive. The scammer quickly worked it out…
The emails keep on coming!
This scammer continued to ask for payment details and even more personal information. I decided to stop contact, but the emails keep on coming from other suppliers! For the purposes of this article I had contacted 4 so called card hackers. All of them were rather keen to get my money and very keen to get as much information as possible.
Here is another example of a scam card supplier trying to get my personal details…
Some time later… The tone starts to get more urgent…
I don’t think so!
Don’t fall for this scam, there is a better way!
This scam is aimed at those people who are either blinded by greed or desperate for money. Just to be clear, these people take your money and you get nothing in return. The scammer takes your money and then sells your personal details for a little extra cash. With scams like this, you don’t have any backup and there are no refunds! Take my advice and stay well away from this kind of thing. If you want to learn how to make money online using legal and ethical methods, let me show you how…
